Coalition Leadership
I CAN was
established as a grassroots movement to respond to the adult low
literacy and high school dropout crisis in Hillsborough County. A
diverse group
of concerned citizens with expertise in education, business, law,
accounting, and social service joined the movement to donate their time
and skills to improve literacy in their community. I CAN Coalition
Partners include community organizations, businesses, churches, and
education institutions that provide technical, instructional, and
administrative assistance to help support the organization and
education programs. The coalition ensures that I CAN is a
financially and educationally accountable organization that offers
adults and older youth the services and skills needed to succeed and
become self-sufficient.
